Across two modules, you will build a complete professional video production capability:
- The 180-degree shutter rule and how to apply it correctly on professional camera systems
- ND filter selection for maintaining correct exposure in bright conditions
- LOG and flat picture profile workflows, including S-Log, C-Log, V-Log, and correct exposure strategy
- Professional camera systems, accessories, codecs, bit-rate, colour subsampling, rigging hardware, and audio inputs
- Cinematography fundamentals for mirrorless and DSLR systems, including depth of field, lens choice, interview lighting, and focus control
- Controlled camera movement using fluid-head tripods, motorized gimbals, shoulder rigs, and slider systems
- Shot plan interpretation and production coordination with a professional crew
- Assessment: case study written assessment and individual project presentation
- Visual storytelling and detailed shot planning across narrative arc, camera angles, focal lengths, movement, continuity, and production schedule
- Cinematography and continuity management across a full production day
- Controlled lighting rig design for interview, product, and location video production
- Subject direction for on-camera talent, including positioning, instruction, performance, and eye-line control
- Specialist equipment operation, including wireless follow-focus, motorized sliders, jib arms, remote heads, and multi-camera coordination
- Complex shot execution, including dolly moves, jib arcs, multi-camera cutaway coverage, and real-time technical adaptation
- Contingency planning and full production simulation from shot plan to footage delivery

Certification Pathway
To attain the Certified Digital Videographer 2.0 certification by Equinet Academy, complete the following modules:
- Module 1: Mirrorless and DSLR Videography Essentials (2 days, 16 hours)
- Module 2: Advanced Cinematic Mirrorless/DSLR Videography and Video Production Techniques (2 days, 16 hours)
- Pass all module assessments across both courses
Each module can also be taken as a standalone course. Learners who have already completed Module 1 as a standalone course may count it toward the Certified Digital Videographer 2.0 certification by completing Module 2.
Candidates who complete each module with at least 75% attendance and demonstrate competency in all assessments will receive the corresponding award for that module. Candidates who complete all two modules will receive the Certified Digital Videographer 2.0 certificate from Equinet Academy.

Complete Module 1 before Module 2.
Yes. Each module can be taken as a standalone course and carries its own Equinet Academy Certificate of Completion.
You will be able to capture technically controlled footage, work with lighting and camera movement, interpret shot plans, direct subjects, coordinate production requirements, and manage more advanced video shoots.
