The original CSEOS programme gave learners strong SEO execution capability across foundational and advanced techniques. CSEOS 2.0 extends that by closing the most common gap in SEO practice: the ability to build the online authority that organic rankings depend on.
Domain authority is built through earned media, digital PR, brand mentions, and high-quality backlinks. These are all PR disciplines, not SEO disciplines. Most SEO specialists can optimise a page but cannot pitch a journalist, plan a PESO campaign, or manage a brand’s online reputation in a way that generates the links and authority their rankings need. CSEOS 2.0 fills that gap.
Participants who complete all three modules and pass the required assessments will be awarded the Certified SEO Specialist (CSEOS) 2.0 certificate issued by Equinet Academy. Each module also carries its own WSQ Statement of Attainment issued by SkillsFuture Singapore upon demonstrated competency.

Each module can also be taken as a standalone course and carries its own WSQ Statement of Attainment and Equinet Academy Certificate of Completion independently of the full programme certification. Learners who have already completed one or more modules of the original CSEOS programme may count those modules toward the CSEOS 2.0 certification by completing the remaining module or modules.
Candidates who have demonstrated competency in the programme will attain WSQ Statement of Attainments (SOAs) awarded by SkillsFuture Singapore and the Certified SEO Specialist (CSEOS) 2.0 certificate issued by Equinet Academy.
The programme comprises three modules, each running for 2 days (16 hours). All three modules are WSQ accredited courses and carry individual SkillsFuture Statements of Attainment. Module 1 must be completed before Module 2. Module 2 is strongly recommended before Module 3.

CSEOS 2.0 adds a third module, the WSQ Digital Public Relations course, to the original two module SEO programme. The existing Module 1 (SEO Strategy) and Module 2 (Advanced SEO) are unchanged. The addition of Digital PR gives learners the earned media capability that builds the online authority their SEO strategies depend on. Learners who have already completed the original CSEOS can add Module 3 to upgrade to the CSEOS 2.0 certification.

Yes. Each module can be taken as a standalone course and carries its own WSQ Statement of Attainment and Equinet Academy Certificate of Completion. The full CSEOS 2.0 certification requires completion of all three modules. Learners who have already completed one or more modules of the original CSEOS programme may count those toward the CSEOS 2.0 certification by completing the remaining module.
Module 1 must be completed before Module 2, as Advanced SEO builds directly on the foundational SEO concepts taught in Module 1. Module 2 is strongly recommended before Module 3: the digital PR content covers earned media and link acquisition in depth, and learners who have completed both SEO modules will understand how PR campaigns contribute to SEO authority and why. Taking Module 3 without the SEO foundation is not prohibited but is not the intended learning sequence.
No prior SEO or PR experience is required to begin Module 1. The foundational SEO module starts from first principles and assumes no prior optimisation knowledge. Module 3 (Digital PR) similarly requires no prior PR experience. Comfort with digital tools and basic marketing or communications familiarity is helpful but not required.
Assessment formats vary by module. Modules 1 and 2 include hands on project based assignments covering keyword research, on page SEO, link building plans, and SEO analytics. Module 3 includes a Written Exam and a Project. All assessments are designed to test applied competency rather than recall: learners produce real strategy outputs, plans, and analyses rather than answering theoretical questions.
Yes. If you have already completed and passed Modules 1 and 2 of the original CSEOS programme, you only need to complete Module 3 (Digital Public Relations) to attain the CSEOS 2.0 certification.
