What This Programme Is About

Search engine rankings are driven by two things: how well a page is optimised, and how much authority the website behind it has built. The original Certified SEO Specialist programme gave learners both the foundational and advanced SEO skills to optimise effectively.

The CSEOS 2.0 builds on that foundation by adding a third capability that most SEO specialists are missing: the ability to build online authority through digital PR.

Link building is one of the most powerful drivers of SEO performance and is fundamentally a PR discipline. It requires pitching journalists and publishers, creating content others want to reference, managing a brand’s online reputation, and building relationships with digital media. Most SEO specialists can research keywords and write optimised content, but cannot execute the earned media strategies that produce the high authority backlinks their rankings depend on.

The CSEOS 2.0 closes this gap. Module 1 builds the SEO foundation: how search engines work, keyword research, on-page optimisation, and link building basics. Module 2 advances that foundation into sophisticated content strategy, advanced on-page and off-page techniques, and advanced analytics.

Participants who complete all three modules and pass the required assessments will be awarded the Certified SEO Specialist (CSEOS) 2.0 certificate issued by Equinet Academy. Each module also carries its own WSQ Statement of Attainment issued by SkillsFuture Singapore upon demonstrated competency.

Candidates who have demonstrated competency in the programme will attain WSQ Statement of Attainments (SOAs) awarded by SkillsFuture Singapore and the Certified SEO Specialist (CSEOS) 2.0 certificate issued by Equinet Academy.
