It is especially relevant for anyone responsible for business reporting, decision support, or stakeholder presentations.
Yes. No prior Power BI experience is required, and no coding is needed. This beginner-friendly course is designed for those without formal data analytics training who want to build practical dashboarding, data visualisation, and data storytelling skills using Microsoft Power BI. Familiarity with spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is helpful but not mandatory.
The WSQ Power BI course is a 2-day course (16 hours), conducted in-person from 9.00am to 6.00pm on both days at Equinet Academy in Singapore. Both weekday and weekend intakes are available. See the course schedule above for upcoming dates.
Yes. This is a WSQ-accredited course (Course Code: TGS-2025057948) approved by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). Eligible Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and LTVP+ holders can enjoy up to 70% SSG subsidies, bringing the nett course fee down from S$990 to as low as S$297. Remaining fees can be further offset with SkillsFuture Credit or PSEA funds, and the course is also UTAP claimable for eligible NTUC members.
You will receive two credentials: a SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Data Visualisation and Storyboarding, issued under the Skills Framework, and a Certificate of Completion from Equinet Academy. To qualify, you must achieve at least 75% attendance and demonstrate competency in the course assessment.
Yes, participants are encouraged to bring a Windows laptop with Microsoft Power BI Desktop installed, as Power BI Desktop runs natively on Windows only. If you use a Mac, contact us before the course and we will advise you on options.
Participants will be guided through using Microsoft Power BI Desktop, with all necessary datasets, sample reports, and templates provided for hands-on exercises. Power BI Desktop is free to download and use, so you can continue building dashboards and reports after the course ends.
Yes. Participants will work on hands-on projects to create and refine interactive dashboards based on real-world business data scenarios, including KPIs, slicers, drill-through navigation, and bookmarks, that mirror the reports you would build at work.
The assessment consists of a written exam and a practical project, completed as part of the course. It is designed as an application of what you practise in class, building and presenting a Power BI dashboard, rather than a memorisation test.
Yes. The WSQ Power BI course is Module 3 of the Certified AI-Enabled Data Analyst 2.0 certification by Equinet Academy. Completing all four modules (Data Analytics and Data Literacy Essentials, AI in Data & Business Analytics, Power BI, and Data Storytelling and Executive Communication) earns you the full certification.
