Multinationals and listed firms were prime ransomware targets. Still, the Lexology breakdown of the CSA report notes that SMEs in professional services were disproportionately targeted, an important nuance for small business owners who assume they are too small to notice.

Singapore is also a known target for state-sponsored Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups. CSA publicly disclosed that UNC3886, a state-linked group active since at least 2021, has been targeting Singapore’s critical infrastructure using sophisticated living-off-the-land techniques and zero-day exploits.
