Good video editing is not just about cutting clips together. Professional editing requires structure, story logic, pacing, audio control, colour consistency, and delivery awareness.

This 3-hour introductory workshop introduces learners to DaVinci Resolve’s professional editing workflow and how it differs from mobile editing tools such as CapCut. Participants will explore how Resolve organises post-production into dedicated pages for media management, assembly, precision editing, audio, colour, and delivery.

The focus is on understanding the professional editing process, not mastering every tool in one session. Learners will examine how editors interpret scripts, organise footage, assemble rough cuts, refine pacing, identify basic audio and visual issues, and prepare for the deeper workflow covered in the full 2-day course.
