3-Hour Intro to Management Leadership and Organisational Design Workshop

Workshop Description

Every growing venture reaches a point where the structure that got it here stops working. This 3-hour session introduces the core ideas behind organisational design why it matters, what it involves, and how founders and leaders can begin thinking about it strategically.

Participants will get a clear, high-level view of how structure shapes performance, what common failure modes look like, and what a structured redesign approach involves. This session is designed to spark thinking, not to cover everything and it is the right starting point for anyone who senses their organisation needs to change but isn’t sure where to begin.

Why Attend This Workshop?

Get a practical introduction to one of the most overlooked levers of business growth, how your organisation is structured.

✔ Understand why structure becomes a constraint as ventures scale — and what to do about it
✔ Get introduced to the main organisational models and what each one costs under growth
✔ Learn how the components of design — roles, decision rights, information flow — work together
✔ Understand how structural change affects your people, stakeholders, and legal obligations
✔ Preview the frameworks used in the full course to plan and lead redesign initiatives

Workshop Outline

  • Explore why organisational structure becomes a growth constraint and how to recognise the signs
  • Survey the main structural models and the failure modes each produces under scaling pressure
  • Introduce a diagnostic lens for identifying structural gaps versus execution problems
  • Preview how redesign planning, governance, and change communication work in practice
  • Examine how to think about measuring whether a redesign is actually working
