Trainer's Bio
Siew Ann is a freelance writer specialising in digital marketing blog content and case studies for B2B SaaS (software-as-a-service) companies. She has 10+ years of business email writing experience. Since 2019, she has built a regular base of clients from Singapore, the United States, Spain and other countries. Her clients include well-known brands in the digital marketing and automation industries, like Semrush, Kit (formerly known as ConvertKit) and Make.
With most of her clients being abroad, Siew Ann works remotely and is skilled at using written communications to keep her projects moving. Her regular and well-written updates to clients have built trust that has, among other factors, led to her clients consistently coming back to her with new assignments. This is despite her typically not being able to meet her clients in person.
Siew Ann is legally trained and previously worked as the Marketing Director of a legal platform, overseeing the platform’s editorial, search engine optimisation, email marketing and Instagram marketing operations. Her achievements during her five-year stint there include 3X’ing the platform’s monthly website sessions and growing its Instagram account from zero to over 41K followers.
Outside of client work, Siew Ann writes a fortnightly email newsletter called lancerX. The newsletter is read by subscribers all over the world and shares freelancing tips based on her experience running a freelance writing business.
Siew Ann has also conducted workshops and spoken at events relating to freelancing matters for the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), National Arts Council, Singapore University of Social Sciences and other organisations. She is in the process of securing her WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance 2.0 (ACLP) and expects to be ACLP-certified in January 2026.
