SkillsFuture Singapore has recently announced that as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure that their funds and resources are focused towards training that delivers stronger employment outcomes, they will be revising their funding subsidies. The revision will commence on 1st January 2022 for all courses that take place after 31st December 2021.

Equinet Academy learners who are affected by this revision are:

  • Singapore Citizens above 40 years of age (Funding revised from 90% to 70%)
  • Singapore Citizens and PRs from Singapore SMEs (Funding revised from 90% to 70%)
  • Singapore Citizens and PRs from 21 to 39 years of age (Funding revised from $15/hour to 50% subsidies)
  • Singapore Citizens and PRs from Singapore Non-SMEs (Funding revised from $15/hour to 50% subsidies)

However, Singaporean Citizens will still be able to utilise their SkillsFuture Credits to offset the out-of-pocket expenses (after subsidies). This includes both the opening SkillsFuture credit of $500 and the one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up of $500 implemented on 31st December 2020.

If you are planning on taking a course with Equinet Academy, we strongly encourage you to sign up and complete the course before the funding revisions kicks in on 1st January 2022.
